In short: this check-up runs six short tests from this site one after another, in about ten minutes: colour vision, an astigmatism dial, the Amsler grid, reaction time, digit memory and a breath-hold test. At the end you get one summary with all your results, which you can copy or save in a free Anpheros account. Every result is indicative; the check-up does not replace a medical, eye or hearing exam.

How the check-up works
- Have a bank card ready for the Amsler grid, which uses it to size the grid to your screen.
- Start the check-up. Each test explains itself before it starts.
- Answer and move on. After each result, press Next; skip any test with Skip.
- Read your summary at the end, with every result in one place.
Which tests are included
- Colour vision: eight dot plates with hidden digits.
- Astigmatism dial: whether lines in some directions look darker.
- Amsler grid: whether lines around a central dot look straight and complete.
- Reaction time: five rounds, tap when the box turns green.
- Digit memory: how many digits you remember in order.
- Breath-hold: how long you comfortably hold your breath after a normal exhale.
The eye test and the full hearing test take longer and need more space or headphones, so they are separate.
What this check-up is not
It is a set of simple, indicative self-checks. It does not diagnose anything and does not replace a medical, eye or hearing exam. If a result worries you, show the summary to a doctor, optometrist or audiologist.
