Short answer: download or photograph each lab report, keep them in one app that reads the values and reference ranges, and send them to the new doctor as a time-limited link to your summary, a PDF report, or direct access the clinic requests and you approve. In Anpheros Daily all of this is free, and the doctor sees the same marker across years, not one loose PDF.
Lab results end up scattered: a portal for each laboratory, PDFs in e-mail, paper from the hospital. When you change doctors, the new one rarely gets the history, and tests get repeated.
Step 1: get your results
- From each lab's portal: download the PDF. You have a right to a copy of your results; in the EU this is part of the GDPR right of access.
- From paper: photograph each page.
- From the clinic: if it works with Anpheros, results can arrive in your record directly.
Step 2: keep them in one place, as values
A folder of PDFs answers "where is it?" but not "is it going up?". In Anpheros Daily you photograph the report or upload the PDF, and the app reads each marker, value, unit and reference range, keeps the original next to it, and lines up the same marker from earlier reports. See the lab results app page for how it works, and our guide on how to read lab results for what the reference range does and does not mean.
Step 3: send them to the new doctor
Pick the option that fits:
- A time-limited link to your health summary, which includes recent results. It opens in any browser, expires when you choose, and you see when it was opened.
- A PDF report with results from a period, next to medications and symptoms, to print or e-mail.
- The International Patient Summary as an HL7 FHIR file, for a clinic whose system imports it.
- Direct access that the clinic requests and you approve for 30 days, 90 days or a year, revocable any time.
The full comparison is in our guide on sharing your health record with a clinic.
What to avoid
- Sending ten separate PDFs by e-mail: they stay in the inbox forever and the doctor has to piece them together.
- Only the latest result: the trend is often what matters.
- Screenshots of a portal: values get cut and units lost.
Frequently asked questions
How do I send my blood test results to a new doctor?
Keep them in one record and send a time-limited link, a PDF report or the International Patient Summary, or approve the clinic's access request. All four are free in Anpheros Daily.
Can I see my lab results from different labs together?
Yes. Anpheros Daily reads reports from any laboratory and codes the markers to the LOINC standard, so the same test from different labs lines up by date.
Does the app tell me if a result is abnormal?
It shows where each value falls within the reference range printed on your report and marks those outside it. What that means for you is a question for your doctor.
Can my new doctor see results from years ago?
Yes, if you added them. Old reports can be photographed or uploaded with their original date and join the same series.
Is it free?
Yes. Lab results, the reports, links and the IPS export are on the free Basic plan, with a monthly number of document scans. Download Anpheros Daily.
Keep your medical record with you
