QHIN

Qualified Health Information Network

Updated

A QHIN is a network that has been designated under TEFCA to connect participants (hospitals, vendors, payers) to the other QHINs, so that a query reaches every connected organisation in the US.

Epic, eHealth Exchange, CommonWell and a handful of others are QHINs; a vendor joins one rather than negotiating with each.
