Anonymisation

Updated

Anonymisation transforms data so that no individual can reasonably be identified, directly or indirectly, by anyone, after which the GDPR no longer applies to it.

The bar is high for health data because rare combinations re-identify people, so techniques such as generalisation, k-anonymity and aggregation are combined.
