FHIR Binary resource

Updated

Binary is the FHIR resource that holds raw content of any media type, such as a PDF or a JPEG, either base64-encoded in JSON or returned as the file itself.

A DocumentReference usually points to a Binary; Binary has no clinical metadata of its own.
