FHIR resource
A FHIR resource is the basic unit of data in FHIR: a small JSON or XML document with a defined type (Patient, Observation, Condition) and known fields, identified by a URL.
R4 defines about 145 types; resources reference each other, so a record is a graph of resources rather than one big file.
