VNA

Vendor Neutral Archive

Updated

A VNA is a long-term image archive that stores DICOM (and often non-DICOM) objects in a standard way so that any PACS or viewer, from any vendor, can read them.

Hospitals add one to keep images for decades independent of the PACS vendor they happen to use at the time.
