CDS Hooks
Clinical Decision Support Hooks
CDS Hooks is the HL7 specification by which an EHR calls an external decision-support service at defined moments (patient-view, order-select, order-sign) and shows the returned cards to the clinician.
The service receives FHIR context and can suggest, warn or offer a SMART app to launch; it is how third-party logic reaches the point of care.
