SMART on FHIR
SMART App Launch Framework
SMART on FHIR is the HL7 specification for how an app gets authorised to read a FHIR server, using OAuth 2.0 with scopes such as patient/Observation.read and a launch context (which patient, which encounter).
EHR app stores, patient-access APIs and most national FHIR services use it, so one app can be written once for many servers.
