WADO-RS
Web Access to DICOM Objects by RESTful Services
WADO-RS is the DICOMweb retrieve service: a GET request on a study, series or instance URL returns the DICOM objects, their metadata or rendered images.
It is the usual way a viewer fetches pixels once a study has been found with QIDO-RS.
