Interface engine

Updated

An interface engine is middleware that receives messages from one system, transforms them (HL7 v2 to FHIR, field mapping, filtering) and routes them to others, with queuing and logging.

Mirth Connect, Rhapsody and similar products are what hospitals use so that each system needs one connection to the engine instead of one to every other system.
