SNOMED CT

Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine, Clinical Terms

Updated

SNOMED CT is the largest clinical terminology, with over 350,000 concepts for findings, disorders, procedures, body structures and more, arranged in a hierarchy that software can reason over.

It is used to record what a clinician observed (the answer), while ICD-10 is used to classify it for statistics and billing; a licence is needed in countries that are not SNOMED International members.
