LOINC
Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes
LOINC is the code system for laboratory tests and clinical measurements: each code (for example 2345-7, serum glucose) names what was measured, in which specimen, by which method.
It is maintained by the Regenstrief Institute, free to use with registration, and required for lab results in FHIR profiles such as US Core and the IPS.
