UDI-DI

Unique Device Identifier, Device Identifier

Updated

The UDI-DI is the fixed part of a medical device's unique identifier that identifies the manufacturer and the specific model or version, with a separate UDI-DI for each packaging level.

It is the key used to look a device up in EUDAMED or GUDID, while the EU also uses a Basic UDI-DI to group models in certificates and technical documentation.
