Anpheros vs Apple Health vs MyChart vs Medisafe: which one for what

An honest comparison of Anpheros Daily, Apple Health, MyChart and Medisafe: what each one is for, who it suits, where the data lives and how they work together. A table by need, no rankings.

by Published 3 min read

In short: these four apps do different jobs. Apple Health collects your own iPhone and watch data; MyChart shows what one health system holds about you; Medisafe reminds you to take medicines; Anpheros Daily is a personal health record for you and your family that works across clinics, countries and phones. Many people use two of them together.

Using them together

  • Anpheros Daily + Apple Health or Health Connect: Anpheros reads the measurements your phone already collects, so your record has the trend without typing (data from your watch is on the Plus and Max plans).
  • Anpheros Daily + MyChart: keep using the portal for that health system; save its results and letters in your Anpheros record so they sit next to records from other clinics.
  • Anpheros Daily + Medisafe: many people keep a dedicated reminder app; Anpheros also has medication reminders and keeps the medicine list in the record a doctor sees.

What Anpheros Daily does not do

It does not diagnose or recommend treatment, it does not import automatically from every national or hospital record yet (you scan or upload what you have), and it does not replace your health system's portal.

Frequently asked questions

Is Anpheros Daily an alternative to Apple Health?

For your records, yes; for collecting phone and watch data, it works with Apple Health rather than replacing it. Anpheros also runs on Android and the web and keeps a record for each family member.

Is Anpheros Daily an alternative to MyChart?

It complements it. MyChart shows what one health system holds; Anpheros keeps your own record across clinics and countries, where you can save what the portals give you.

Is Anpheros Daily an alternative to Medisafe?

For most people's medication reminders, it can be: it has reminders and a medicine list that stays in your record. Medisafe is more specialised in adherence features.

Which one is free?

Apple Health comes with the iPhone, MyChart is offered by health systems to their patients, Medisafe has a free version, and Anpheros Daily's Basic plan is free for your own record.
