Connect Apple Health, Samsung Health or Health Connect to ChatGPT: what works, where, and the alternatives

Can ChatGPT read your Apple Health, Samsung Health or Google Health Connect data? In the US, ChatGPT Health connects Apple Health on iPhone. On Android and outside the US it does not. What works today in each case, step by step, and how to keep your watch data next to the rest of your health record.

Short answer: in the United States, ChatGPT Health can connect Apple Health on an iPhone, for adults. Samsung Health, Google Health Connect, Fitbit and Garmin are not connected to ChatGPT directly, and outside the US ChatGPT does not connect to health data at all. What works everywhere: bring your watch and phone data into a health record you control, such as Anpheros Daily, which reads Apple Health, Health Connect and Samsung Health; then let an AI read it on your terms (Claude, read-only) or ask ChatGPT about a summary you copy, without your identity.

In the US, on iPhone

If you are an adult in the US and ChatGPT Health is available on your account, you can connect Apple Health from the ChatGPT app on iPhone. ChatGPT then reads activity, sleep, heart rate and other data you allow, read-only. Our guide ChatGPT Health explained covers what it does and what happens to the data.

On Android, or with Samsung Health

Android phones keep health data in Google Health Connect, where Samsung Health, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura and Withings write. ChatGPT does not read Health Connect. What works:

  1. Connect Health Connect, or Samsung Health, in Anpheros Daily. Steps, heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, weight and blood pressure arrive as daily summaries, next to your symptoms, medicines and lab results.
  2. Choose how an AI sees it: connect Claude to your record read-only with the Anpheros Health connector, or copy a short summary and ask ChatGPT, using the question builder to keep your identity out.

Outside the US, on iPhone

The same as on Android: connect Apple Health in Anpheros Daily, then use Claude read-only, or a summary for ChatGPT. Your data is stored in the EU and the app works in 20 languages.

Why the rest of your record matters

A watch knows your heart rate and sleep; it does not know that the new medicine started on Monday or that the headache came back. An AI asked "why do I sleep badly?" answers much better with the symptoms, medicines and results next to the sleep data, which is what a health record adds. Anpheros shows patterns and organises records; it does not diagnose.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT read my Samsung Health data?

Not directly, in any country. Bring Samsung Health data into a health record you control, then share a summary or connect an AI that can read that record.

Can ChatGPT read Apple Health in Europe or the UK?

Not at present: connecting health data in ChatGPT Health is limited to adults in the US.

Can ChatGPT save data into my health record instead?

Yes. With the Anpheros connector for ChatGPT, ChatGPT can send symptoms, measurements and notes to your record as proposals you accept, without reading the record.

Which AI can read my watch data in Europe?

Claude can, through the Anpheros Health connector, read-only and only the sections you allow, once the data is in your Anpheros record.
