Claude connector

Connect Apple Health, Samsung Health and your smartwatch data to Claude

Claude cannot read Apple Health or Health Connect directly. Through Anpheros, it can: your steps, heart rate, sleep, weight and blood pressure are imported into your Anpheros record, and the Anpheros Health connector lets Claude read them, with your permission.

Your phone and your watch collect a lot: steps, heart rate, sleep, weight, blood pressure if you measure it. Claude could help you make sense of it, but Apple Health and Health Connect keep that data on your phone, out of Claude's reach. Anpheros is the bridge: it imports the data into your health record, and the Anpheros Health connector lets Claude read it, only with your permission.

How the data gets to Claude

  1. Your phone or watch → Anpheros. In Anpheros Daily you allow the import from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android (where Samsung Health, Fitbit and many other apps put their data). You choose which types.
  2. Anpheros → your record. Measurements are stored as standard FHIR observations, with the date, the unit and the device or app they came from.
  3. Your record → Claude. You add the Anpheros Health connector in Claude and tick what Claude may read. Step-by-step guide.

You can stop either link at any time: the import in your phone's health settings, Claude's access in Anpheros under Connections.

What you can ask

  • "How has my resting heart rate changed since I started running?"
  • "Compare my sleep in September and October."
  • "Show my blood pressure readings from the last month, morning and evening."
  • "Did my weight change after I started the new medication in June?"

Claude can read a series over time and compare two periods, and can show where each value comes from. Combined with the rest of your record (medications, symptoms, lab results), the question can span more than the watch alone.

Where it stops

Claude reads what your devices measured and what you logged; it does not diagnose, and a watch is not a medical device. Patterns are observations, not conclusions. If something worries you, take the data to your doctor; Claude can help you prepare a short summary for the visit.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude read Apple Health directly?

No. Apple Health data stays on your iPhone. Anpheros imports the types you allow into your health record, and Claude reads them from there through the Anpheros Health connector.

Does it work with Samsung Health or Fitbit?

On Android, data from apps that write to Health Connect, such as Samsung Health and Fitbit, can be imported into Anpheros, and Claude reads them through the connector.

Which data types can Claude see?

Only the categories you tick on the Anpheros consent screen. Typical ones are activity, heart rate, sleep, weight and blood pressure, alongside the rest of your record if you allow it.

Is my smartwatch data sent to Anthropic?

Only what Claude reads to answer you, and only from the categories you allowed. Anthropic processes it under its own terms; see what happens to your health data with Claude.
