ISO/IEEE 11073 health device communication

Updated

ISO/IEEE 11073 is the family of standards for communication with medical and personal health devices, with a shared data model and nomenclature (MDC codes) and device specialisations such as glucose meters, scales and pulse oximeters.

Its 20601 protocol underlies Bluetooth health device profiles, and the HL7 Personal Health Device guide maps its measurements to FHIR Observations.
