Clinical Quality Language

Updated

CQL (Clinical Quality Language) is the HL7 language for writing clinical logic, such as who is in a measure population or when a rule applies, in a readable form that runs against a data model like FHIR.

It is compiled into a machine form called ELM and packaged in a FHIR Library; US electronic quality measures and many decision support artifacts are written in it.
