DIMSE
DICOM Message Service Element
DIMSE is the set of DICOM network commands exchanged over an association: DIMSE-C for composite objects (C-ECHO, C-STORE, C-FIND, C-GET, C-MOVE) and DIMSE-N for normalized objects (N-CREATE, N-SET, N-GET, N-ACTION, N-EVENT-REPORT, N-DELETE).
It runs over TCP between application entities identified by AE titles, and DICOMweb offers HTTP equivalents for the most common operations.
