SMART scopes
SMART on FHIR access scopes
SMART scopes are the OAuth 2.0 scopes an app asks for to say which FHIR data it may access, in the form context/Resource.permissions, where the context is patient, user or system.
SMART v2 writes permissions as letters (patient/Observation.rs for read and search), while v1 used .read and .write; extra scopes such as launch, openid, fhirUser and offline_access ask for launch context, identity and refresh tokens.
