XUA

Cross-Enterprise User Assertion

Updated

XUA is the IHE profile for passing the identity of an authenticated user to another organisation inside a web-services request, as a SAML assertion carrying the user, role and purpose of use.

The receiving side can then apply its access rules and write an audit record naming the actual person, which national records such as ELGA rely on.
