Medications

One medication list for the whole family, ready for any doctor or pharmacy

How to keep an up-to-date medication list for every family member (doses, times, what was stopped and why) with reminders, so you can answer "what is she taking?" at any doctor, pharmacy or emergency room.

Short answer: keep a medication list in each family member's profile in a health record app: the name, dose, times, start date and, when one is stopped, why. In Anpheros Daily you photograph the box and check the name, get reminders for daily doses, and the list is part of the report or summary you show any doctor or pharmacist.

"What medications does he take?" is the first question at a pharmacy counter, an emergency room or a new doctor's office, and for a child or an elderly parent the answer is often a guess. A list kept per person, up to date, removes the guess.

What to keep for each medication

  • the name and strength (as written on the box);
  • the dose and the times of day;
  • when it started, who prescribed it and for what;
  • when it stopped and why (finished, side effect, changed by the doctor);
  • whether it is taken every day or only when needed.

How it works in Anpheros Daily

Profiles for family members are part of the Plus plan; your own record is free on Basic.

  1. Open the family member's profile.
  2. Photograph the box; the name and strength are recognised and you check them.
  3. Set the dose and times; reminders come at those times.
  4. When a medication changes, note it, so the list stays true.

For one person's medication and possible side effects in detail, see our guide on tracking medication and side effects and the medication tracker page. For profiles, see the family health record.

Showing the list

  • At the pharmacy or a visit: open the person's medications on the phone, or print a report.
  • With a doctor: share the record for a period or a time-limited link to the health summary.
  • In an emergency: the emergency card shows current medications, allergies and conditions.

What the app does not do

Anpheros keeps the list; it does not recommend medicines, doses or changes, and it does not check prescriptions. Any change is decided by the doctor or pharmacist. In an emergency, call 112 or your local emergency number.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track medications for my children and my parents in one app?

Yes. Each family member has their own profile with their own medication list and reminders.

Can I get reminders for someone else's doses?

Yes. Reminders follow the times set in each person's profile, so you can be reminded about your child's or your parent's doses.

What should I show the pharmacist?

The current list for that person: name, strength, dose and times, plus allergies. You can show it on the phone or as a printed report.

Does the app tell me if two medicines interact?

No. The app keeps the list; checking interactions is a job for your doctor or pharmacist. Our guide on your medication list and interactions explains what to ask them.

This guide is for information and does not replace medical advice. For decisions about your health, talk to your doctor. In an emergency, call 112.
