DICOM tag
DICOM data element tag (group, element)
A DICOM tag is the pair of hexadecimal numbers (group, element) that identifies a data element in a DICOM object, for example (0010,0010) Patient's Name or (0008,0060) Modality.
Each standard tag has a name, keyword, value representation and multiplicity in the DICOM data dictionary, while tags with an odd group number are private tags defined by vendors.
