DS4P

Data Segmentation for Privacy

Updated

DS4P is the HL7 approach to tagging health data with security labels so that sensitive parts of a record, such as substance use or sexual health information, can be handled under their own privacy rules.

The FHIR DS4P implementation guide maps the HL7 privacy and security classification system onto FHIR, including labels inside a single resource, and is deliberately policy-neutral.
