IDMP

Identification of Medicinal Products (ISO)

Updated

IDMP is the set of five ISO standards (ISO 11615, 11616, 11238, 11239 and 11240) that define how medicinal products, pharmaceutical products, substances, dose forms and units are identified and described.

Medicines regulators such as the EMA build their product databases on it, and the FHIR medication definition resources were designed to represent IDMP data.
