IHE LAW
IHE Laboratory Analytical Workflow
LAW is the IHE laboratory profile for the interface between analysers and the LIS or middleware, covering the test orders sent to the instrument, queries for work and the results returned.
Developed with the IVD Industry Connectivity Consortium, it uses constrained HL7 v2.5.1 messages so that one tested format can replace vendor-specific instrument interfaces.
