PV1
Patient Visit segment (HL7 v2)
PV1 is the HL7 v2 segment that describes a patient's visit: patient class (inpatient, outpatient, emergency), location, attending doctor, visit number and admit and discharge times.
It follows PID in ADT, order and result messages and maps mainly to the FHIR Encounter resource.
