UDAP
Unified Data Access Profiles (HL7 Security for Scalable Registration, Authentication, and Authorization)
UDAP is a set of profiles that extend OAuth 2.0 with X.509 certificates, so apps and organisations can register dynamically with a FHIR server and prove who they are through a trusted community.
The HL7 UDAP Security implementation guide covers consumer apps and business-to-business exchange and is used in US networks such as TEFCA, where registering every client by hand does not scale.
