XDM
Cross-Enterprise Document Media Interchange
XDM is the IHE profile for exchanging documents on portable media or as a ZIP file sent by email, with a fixed folder layout, an index page and XDS-style metadata.
It covers the cases where no network link exists, such as a patient carrying records on a USB stick or CD, and the same package can later be imported into an XDS registry.
