FHIR messaging
FHIR message Bundles and MessageHeader
FHIR messaging is the event-driven way of exchanging FHIR data: a Bundle of type message whose first entry is a MessageHeader naming the event, the sender, the receiver and the focus resources.
It follows the HL7 v2 pattern of a sender pushing a message to a receiver that replies with an acknowledgement, and is used where a REST call between systems does not fit, for example notifications across organisations or brokered networks.
