ICD-10-PCS

ICD-10 Procedure Coding System

Updated

ICD-10-PCS is the US system for coding inpatient hospital procedures, maintained by CMS, in which every code has seven alphanumeric characters, each with a fixed meaning such as body system, approach or device.

Despite the name it is not part of the WHO ICD; it is used together with ICD-10-CM diagnoses to assign DRGs for hospital payment.
