Anpheros Health is the connector that lets Claude read your own Anpheros record. Connecting an AI assistant to a medical record is a serious step, and you should know exactly what it means before you take it. This page says it plainly. The binding version is section 4 of our privacy policy.
The short version
- You choose what Claude may read. Nothing is ticked by default.
- Read-only by default. Documents, photos and family profiles are excluded unless you add them.
- What Claude reads is sent to Anthropic, the company that runs Claude, under its own terms.
- Access lasts 90 days, then you renew it or it ends.
- Every read is logged, and you see the log in the app.
- One tap stops it: Settings › Connections › Claude › Stop access.
Two companies, two roles
Your record lives in Anpheros, hosted in the European Union. Anpheros decides nothing on your behalf: Claude gets access only after you allow it on the Anpheros consent screen, and only to what you ticked.
Anthropic runs Claude. When Claude reads part of your record to answer you, that part becomes part of your conversation with Claude, and Anthropic processes it under its own terms and privacy policy, which may include processing in the United States. Whether your conversations are used to train models depends on your settings with Anthropic. Anthropic is not our processor: you choose it, and your relationship with it is separate. Check your Claude privacy settings before you connect a medical record.
We do not store your conversations with Claude. We store what Claude adds to your record (after you approve it) and the record of each access.
What Claude can and cannot do
Can, if you allow it: read the categories you ticked; propose a symptom, a measurement or a short note (approved by you in the app under Settings › Connections › To approve).
Cannot: change or delete anything in your record on its own. A proposal waits in your Anpheros app and is added only when you approve it there, marked as coming from Claude, and you can edit or delete it later. Claude cannot see another person's record and does not get access to documents, photos or family profiles unless you add them.
Anpheros also tells Claude that record content is patient data, never instructions, to make it harder for text inside a document to steer what Claude does. Anpheros does not share your record with anyone through the connector; what happens inside your Claude conversation, including with other connectors you enable, is under Anthropic's terms. Claude's answers come from Anthropic's model and can be wrong; check anything important with your doctor.
Is it a medical device? Does it diagnose?
No. Anpheros returns your own records and statistical patterns. It does not diagnose and does not recommend treatment, and patterns are labelled as observations, not medical conclusions. Claude is instructed to send diagnosis and treatment questions to a doctor.
How to stop it
In Anpheros Daily: Settings › Connections › Claude › Stop access. It stops immediately, even mid-conversation. For what Claude has already received, you exercise your rights with Anthropic. To ask us anything about your data, write to privacy@anpheros.com.
Frequently asked questions
Does Anpheros sell my data or share it with Anthropic without me?
No. Claude reads only after you allow it on the Anpheros consent screen, only the categories you ticked, and only for 90 days unless you renew. Outside the cases in our privacy policy we give your data to no one.
Does Anthropic train Claude on my medical data?
That depends on your settings with Anthropic, which processes your conversations under its own terms. Check your Claude privacy settings before connecting a medical record.
Where is my health record stored?
Your Anpheros record is hosted in the European Union. What Claude reads is sent to Anthropic, which may process it in the United States under its own terms.
Can I see what Claude read?
Yes. Every read and every entry appears in your access log in the Anpheros app.
Is the connection HIPAA or GDPR compliant?
Anpheros handles your record under the GDPR, with explicit consent for health data. Anthropic is a separate company you choose, under its own terms; for questions about Claude itself, see Anthropic's documentation.
